Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov Explain Why They’re Stepping Back From the DWTS Tour

Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov

Fans of Dancing With the Stars may notice two familiar faces missing from the main lineup of the upcoming 2027 live tour. Professional dancers Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov are taking a step back from the tour, with Karagach explaining that the couple wants to spend more time with their family.

Karagach recently opened up about the decision, saying that she and Pashkov have had very little time to focus on themselves and their daughter, Nikita, who is 3 years old. While the pair will not be regular members of the upcoming tour, Karagach has not completely ruled out making appearances.

Why Daniella and Pasha Are Missing From the Tour

Karagach explained that the couple has been constantly busy with professional commitments and tours. Their daughter has also already experienced life on the road with them.

According to Karagach, Nikita has been on three tours, leaving the family with little opportunity to take a proper break together.

The professional dancer said the couple now wants to use this period to enjoy family time and potentially take a vacation together. Rather than committing to another lengthy tour, they want to slow down and spend more time with each other.

Karagach suggested that fans could still see her and Pashkov during selected portions of the tour, however. She indicated that they could potentially “pop in and out” and participate for a few weeks at different points.

Daniella and Pasha Could Still Make Appearances

Although Karagach and Pashkov are not included among the primary performers announced for Dancing With the Stars: Live! 2027, their absence does not necessarily mean fans will not see them at all.

Karagach said they may take part for a few weeks here and there, leaving open the possibility of special appearances during the 60-stop tour.

The decision appears to be more about finding a healthier balance between their demanding careers and family life rather than completely stepping away from Dancing With the Stars.

The couple has spent years performing professionally and has become a familiar part of the show’s dance community.

Who Is Joining the 2027 DWTS Tour?

ABC announced the upcoming Dancing With the Stars: Live! 2027 tour on October 7, with several familiar professional dancers expected to headline the shows.

The announced lineup includes Brandon Armstrong, Rylee Arnold, Alan Bersten, Hailey Bills, Sharna Burgess, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Emma Slater, Ezra Sosa, Adele Zaikman and Britt Stewart.

The DWTS troupe will also be represented, with Kamri Peterson, Onye Stevenson, Jaxon Willard and Carter Williams set to join the tour.

The tour is scheduled to take place early in 2027 and will span approximately 60 stops.

Daniella Is Also Focused on Season 35

While Karagach is stepping back from the touring schedule, she remains heavily involved with the current season of Dancing With the Stars.

She is partnered with Ezra Frech, a 21-year-old Paralympic athlete competing in season 35. Frech has praised Karagach for the support she provides throughout the competition.

He described her as a combination of therapist, best friend and coach, emphasizing how much he has learned from working with her.

Their partnership has continued to develop as the season progresses, with the pair recently receiving a 24 out of 30 for their rumba to Mariah Carey’s “Anytime You Need a Friend.”

Daniella Says the Focus Is on the Dance

Despite the competitive nature of the show, Karagach said she and Frech do not spend much time worrying about their scores or what might happen in future weeks.

Instead, she explained that their attention remains on the dance they are preparing at that particular moment.

For Karagach, the goal is to put all of their effort into the performance rather than becoming distracted by scores or expectations surrounding the competition.

That approach has helped Frech continue learning from one of the show’s experienced professional dancers.

A Different Chapter for the DWTS Couple

Karagach and Pashkov’s decision to reduce their involvement in the 2027 tour highlights the challenge professional performers face when balancing a demanding touring schedule with family life.

The pair have built successful careers through Dancing With the Stars, but their decision to spend more time with their young daughter appears to be a priority at this stage.

Fans may still get the chance to see them on the road if they follow through with their plans for occasional appearances. However, for now, the couple is choosing flexibility over another full tour.

For Karagach, the immediate focus remains on her season 35 partnership with Ezra Frech, while she and Pashkov look forward to having more time together as a family.

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and streams on Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
